Reading buddies meet their reader once a week, either at the library or over the phone, and work through whatever that reader has chosen — a novel, a newspaper, a stack of unopened post.
No previous experience is needed. We run a short introduction session covering guiding, describing images out loud, and the practical side of reading for someone who cannot follow along on the page.
What we ask
- One hour a week for at least three months
- Attendance at the introduction session
- A clear speaking voice and a lot of patience
